Due to our tremendous growth and desire to further expand our service delivery capabilities, we began the search for the perfect destination to house our new facility. We spent a considerable amount of time researching potential delivery locations around the globe including India, Philippines, Mexico and other Latin American countries. Costa Rica was a standout location for a number of reasons including:

- 95% literacy rate and ranked 6th in the world in terms of quality of education
- 80% of the country is fluent in English
- US Time Zone to avoid inherent challenges in real time communications
- Over 20 daily flights from the United States and is only a 2 ½ hour flight from Houston or Miami.
- Significant Government and private investment in infrastructure
- Consistent GDP growth over the past 10 years
- More than 100 years of Democracy
- Free capital movement
Various members of the Arcus team visited Costa Rica on several occasions and really fell in love with the culture, the people, the feeling of corporate commitment and work ethic that exists; all qualities that are in absolute alignment with the values instilled across the organization and that helped to make Costa Rica the right choice for our new endeavor.
Our primary business objectives in launching our near shore solutions center included:
- Providing higher value Business and Information Technology Services
- Expanding our geographic presence to include emerging nations
- Offering alternative delivery models based on ever changing client demands
- Developing a dynamic team that is a cultural “fit” for our existing staff and clients
- Augmenting our existing 24 X 7 delivery model
